The goal of this session is to review coding through auditing with emphasis on co-morbidities, complications, and hierarchical coding for risk, areas especially pertinent in your Medicare population that affect your cost expectations in shared savings contracts and MIPS cost measures.

Important topics for auditing:

• Importance of following ICD-10-CM specificity, guidelines & regulations for maximum reporting
• Auditing for specific codes and documentation triggering HCC classification
• Guidance with effective feedback results for your physicians and other staff

Be sure to bring your CPT-4 and ICD-10-CM manuals with you for class exercises. Feel free to also bring your questions or problems.
