Basic Chart Auditing

This interactive session is designed for coders and will focus on techniques for auditing clinical documentation to justify appropriate assignment of E/M codes, reviewing ICD-10 CM code specificity, and identifying co-morbidities for HCC coding.

Objectives include:

• Assisting with the implementation of your own internal audit program
• Providing exercises for hands on auditing experience
• Guiding you with effective feedback to your physician and staff

Be sure to bring your current CPT-4 and ICD-10 CM manuals with you as well as a highlighter and sticky notes.
