This interactive session is designed for physicians, NPs and PAs focusing on techniques to check clinical documentation to justify appropriate assignment of ICD-10 CM codes for specificity and identification of co-morbidities that trigger HCCs (Hierarchical condition categories).

Objectives include:

• Assisting with the implementation of your own internal audit program
• Providing exercises for hands on self-audit experience
• Guiding you in working with your staff to limit your use of non-specific diagnostic codes that may cause problems

Be sure to bring your current CPT-4 and ICD-10 CM manuals with you (if you have them). Feel free to also bring your questions or problems.
