Medicare has long used risk adjustment of patient populations from diagnostic coding data to determine compensation to commercial payers for administration of Medicare Advantage plans, setting the precedent for integrating cost into physician fee schedule determination.

Risk adjustment directly affects shared savings dollars in commercial and Medicare value-based contracts as well as scoring for cost measures in MIPS for Medicare.

MetroCare will use examples of risk stratification for specific disease processes to discuss proper documentation for coding risk adjustment and quality measure reporting for MIPS and ACO contracts.

This program is specifically targeted for providers (physicians, APNs, PAs) and will not include CEUs.
