In case you missed it, COVID Telehealth waivers are set to expire March 31.This could result in many changes to performing and billing for telehealth in your practice. Or maybe they will be extended by then. We will review the current rules for performing and coding telehealth.

As healthcare trends away from patient satisfaction toward the patient experience, it is important for physicians, practice executives and staff to understand how this shift in ideology will affect their practice. At the conclusion of this session, participants should be able to identify the components to patient engagement; recognize the need to transition from measuring patient satisfaction to patient experience; and understand the importance of patient experience to the practice’s financial wellbeing.

Coding the Endocrine System for 2025

The Endocrine system can be called the regulator due to its principal responsibility ofproviding a stable balance between interdependent elements of the human body through various hormones, thus making endocrine coding a necessary part of many specialties.

The ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 training session will include:
 Chapter specific terminology with anatomy
 Proper coding of conditions, disorders, and their complications
 Review coding sequencing, rules, regulations and conventions
 Stressing the importance of specificity in documentation and codingwith identificationof co-morbidities that trigger HCCs (Hierarchical Condition Categories)

Please have your ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 manuals available for coding exercises.You may submit your specific coding problems and questions to Donna Pendergrass atleast a week ahead to be addressed by Karen during class. Please de-identify/removeany patient protected health information if you send clinic notes.

Proper coding and documentation are required to bring about maximum reimbursement as well as to report quality care and maintain accurate medical records for the welfare of the patient.

Karen will cover:
 Chapter specific terminology with anatomy

 Review coding sequencing, rules, regulations and conventions
 Stressing the importance of specificity in documentation and codingwith identificationof co-morbidities that trigger HCCs 

Please bring have coding manuals to follow along and use for coding exercises..
